In the artist’s practice colour is presented in close connection with ancient architecture, exposing its sacral function and opposing it to the practical function of architecture deprived of the sublime. The space given is a starting point to the artist’s work as its borders are pushing the author to create an atmosphere where this relation between spirituality and commodity could be experienced emotionally by the viewer.

The idea for the sculpture is inspired by the architecture of the Rock-Hewn Churches in Lalibela, Ethiopia, center of pilgrimage for Orthodox Christians.
